2 June 2010 - Developing and Testing Autonomy in Unmanned Vehicles Workshop

The local chapter of the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) will jointly present this workshop with our own Atlanta Chapter. The ultimate goal of the workshop is to promote reliability and acceptance of autonomous unmanned systems in commercial and military industries. Naturally, the biggest hurdle to acceptance is the hesitance people have over performance uncertainty. New test methods, instrumentation, and even facilities will help alleviate this uncertainty and lead to a greater acceptance of autonomy. Only 200 spots, register today! 1 March 2010 - New Photos Are Up!

The ITEA Altanta Chapter held its first meeting of 2010 on February 24. Thanks again to GTRI for being a wonderful host and providing pizza and drinks for everyone. We had about 50 people attend which I attribute to the excellent presentation by Dr. Steven "Flash" Gordon of TEREC. Thank you all for coming and be sure to check out the pictures here.

19 February 2010 - Next General ITEA Meeting Wednesday, February 24!

The ITEA Altanta Chapter will be holding its first meeting of 2010 on Wednesday, February 24 from 1200-1300 hours at GTRI. Please see the announcement here: ITEA Meeting Feb 24

20 November 2009 - Yet another success!

The ITEA Altanta Chapter held its second meeting of 2009 today at GTRI. We had about 35 people attend which is a great retaining rate. Thank you all for coming!

20 August 2009 - Great Success!

The ITEA Altanta Chapter held its first meeting of 2009 today at GTRI. We had a whopping 85 people attend from at least 8 different companies. Thank you all for coming! I hope you found it as interesting as I did. Please see the pictures from the event here.

31 July 2009 - First General ITEA Meeting Thursday, August 20!

Atlanta ITEA members, please remember to submit your officer ballots to Judy Parks by June 2, 2009. If you need a ballot, you can find it here. Note: Only registered members will be able to access this file.

23 April 2009 - Logo Competition Announced!

The Atlanta Chapter of ITEA needs a new logo. The current ITEA logo is sufficient for now, but many other chapters have a logo that plays on the national organization's logo. More details to come, but you can start submitting your images (no lower resolution than 800x800 pixels) in the Logo Contest Gallery.
